Rouvalis Winery, Asprolithi, Roditis, Whit 2018
Varietal composition: Roditis 100%
Region : Slopes of Aigialeia in northern Peloponnese. The main vineyards are found in the areas of Pyrgaki and Trapeza at an altitude of 840metres above sea level facing the Corinthian gulf. The soils are mainly sandy loam and sandy clay loam on a bedrock of cohesive conglomerates with sands. The yields are never above 80hl/ha.
Vinification: The grapes are collected in crates and come to the winery on the same day. After a light pressing procedure, the essential principles of modern white vinification are followed, in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures, while a part of them undergo cold extraction.
Tasting Characteristics: A delightfully fresh, white wine with excellent mouth feel that tantalizes the nose and palate with fruity aromas and a strong backbone of citrus aromas that are typical of the Roditis variety. Certain minerality comes from the distinctive qualities of the region.
